Hey Good Lookin, Go to Restaurante What's Cookin
Last night Mr. Huevos and I dined at Restaurante What's Cooking, the struggling restaurant located at Hawthorne and Oglethorpe. If you are nostalgic for various dearly departed West Side Hispanic restaurants, this might be your ticket. We dined on delicious tortas, crisp peppered french fries, and chips that come with a delicious salsa. Drinks come in cans, but you get as many cans as you want. There is also a decent outside patio area that will work well as the weather warms up. Alas, they are clearly hurting for business and might not be long for this world. Get on board now before it's to late.

I feel like they do a lot of take-out business. It is kind of adorably weird, though, innit?
the torta is a lot, let's say "simpler" than those of caliente cab, but i think i actually prefer it. it's like the la parilla veggie burrito of tortas.
Parmesan cheese on the refried beans. Nuff said.
