down with the dookies!!!

sometimes something happens that makes life seem worthwhile. the heels are legit, people. last night, tyler hansborough out-dueled shelden williams, while ginyard [et al] did a great job keeping a hand in redick's face (thankfully they never let wee wes miller try to guard him). i think jj hit only one shot in the last 35+ minutes of play. maybe the the best part was that this was senior night. jj and shelden lost in their last home game ever, and they'll remember that for the rest of their lives. hooray!!

in the grander scheme of things, i think duke was kind of exposed here. if you help out on jj and keep him from getting going, they really have trouble creating shots. shelden can score on the block, but he's too methodical to be you go-to.

as for the heels, they look great. terry needs to reign in his shot selection a bit, and i think wes miller should get less minutes (in favor of danny green), but still they're really smoking. what's with quentin thomas all the sudden? a liability until two weeks ago, suddenly he's playing like he could be a starter. and while green makes some boneheaded plays, he's a sensational athlete and a real playmaker. i really believe the heels are ready to make some noise come ncaa time.
