did our resident cuddly german morph on us?

i'm thinking about ordering one of the t-shirts.

This guy is everywhere in the media right now and a co-worker of mine told me that people went nuts in the zoo when she went there with her daughter last week.

It all started with this graffiti artist spraying "Welcome Knut" all over town when the bear was born and when only a couple of people knew who he was. It was strange to see my name everywhere I went (its a pretty uncommon name) and I didn't know what was going on.

And now a couple of months later...you have no idea what it means to live in Berlin with this name. Everywhere I go the same thing over and over again: "Oh, your name is 'Knut' like the guy in the zoo..." Yes it is f***ers!
