In the wee, wee hours

If there were any justice in the world, people would be running through the streets naked everytime The Arcade Fire's most recent CD, Neon Bible came on. While it got a decent amount of publicity, sales and critical admiration it also suffered somewhat from the indifference of an indie rock community that is often just as quick to toss out it's heroes as a twelve year old girl is. Still, it seems they have one fan that matters, who put out a pretty damn good CD himself recently. Also, check out this link for a video that is pretty cool, you can screw around with it endlessly by clicking on various spots on the screen.

it's a good record. like their first, it gets better on subsequent plays. only wish they had left off that throw-away final track.

yeah, i enjoy the record as well and feel that it has fallen below the radar --especially compared to all the press the first record got.

hopefully, more people will read john kennedy toole because of it, too.

anyone see arcade fire at the atlanta civic center? i saw the shins there last week. it was no fox theater but fun nonetheless. the shins were better than expected. they kept it short and rocked it.

i've been a regular social butterfly lately --checking out Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black at the Roxy last night. Showalter is really funny (check out his blog if you're bored). Michael Ian Black may get a little too much face-time, but he had a couple of funny bits, too.
